Stewardship
Everyone is welcome at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church (HTOC). There are no dues or fees. However, the church relies on donations from parishioners to cover the operating expenses of our church. In addition to the operating costs, HTOC sometimes uses funds for outreach and providing humanitarian aid to those outside the church community.
Your contribution is what you decide it to be; we ask each parishioner to give a portion of their blessings to help keep our parish going. We recognize that depending on individual circumstances, some can give more than others, so if you have been so blessed, please consider offering more.
You can give in person, mail us a check, or online by clicking on the Donate button.
The Orthodox Church recognizes stewardship as donating time, talent, and treasure. In addition to financial donations, parishioners can give their time and talents to help with the functioning of the church. There are numerous opportunities for parish involvement, such as cleaning the church, donating food for coffee hour, serving on a committee, and singing in the choir. To learn more, speak to any Parish Council member.
Matthew 25:35-40 illustrates how Jesus views giving: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Additional Biblical passages on giving and stewardship can be found in this article.
